Water dog

Post by RatDog » Tue Oct 18, 2022 9:46 pm

I have been putting my pup in the creek near my house to wade around every couple of days for a while. Took her with me fishing for the first time today. I was wading and figured she’d mess around on the bank. She immediately jumped right in and swam out to where I was standing. I don’t know how common it is for dogs to have a problem with water but seems like she’s got no issue. Kind of a small thing but made me smile.

Thanks! I certainly thought so. I’ve been really trying to expose her to all kinds of situations and experiences. Been taking her out in different cover: the woods, tall grass etc. I try and take her to pick up my kids and to the hardware store and stuff like that so she’s good with people. She gets mobbed by little kids and adults most places we go because she is so freaking cute. Just generally trying to make her as bold and confident as I can.
