Nebraska GSP Trial
NFC FC BDK's Chloe's Jax of All Trades (Trey) won the Open All Age memorial at GSPC of Nebraska and took 3rd in the North Central GSPCA OLAA Classic. Not a bad week. I had good shot at winning the AAA only to lose him in the last five minutes. Judges gave me five minutes to produce him and I could not. I went right to look for him and he went left and ran the course a second time. Such is life, still a good weekend.
Re: Nebraska GSP Trial
Congrats Brooks on the placements, my dog CLKs Point Me The Way ( Allie) won the limited gun dog and took RU in the open gun dog at the weekend trial, she's starting to really come on going into summer camp.

Allie did a great job. She is one great dog. There was no question in her win and placement. We owe a lot to our trainers. Same trainers for both dogs.

Re: Nebraska GSP Trial
Nice weekend for sure, congrats
Question, is the five minutes all you got after time? Having never run them, what is the "standard" for the GSP trials you run in? Our AF is 1/3 brace time. So in an hour stake you have 20 minutes to produce your dog (obviously without the help of a tracker). 30 minute stake you have 10 minutes.Brooks Carmichael wrote:...Judges gave me five minutes to produce him...

Re: Nebraska GSP Trial
In AKC trials. It is up to the judges. I have seen 10 minutes in most cases but, this judge decided at 5 minutes. It is just what it is. My dog just ran out of course, was seen going away at the end of the course and that is when I lost him.

Thanks Brooks!
As a judge (and handler) you like to see them digging for more like that at the end.Brooks Carmichael wrote:...was seen going away at the end...
