Pup's early progress

I bought a new puppy. He is well bred and was born 1-24-13. So far I've got him:

Coming to the whistle for treats.
Hunting for birds i.e. birdy.
Sound conditioned.
Retrieving.

This weekend he held steady on two different pigeons in a launcher long enough for me to walk about 30 and 40 yards respectively. He didn't move a muscle, let me walk in front of him and retrieved the shot bird all the way to me. He "found" just 5 pigeons before he held without any motion. I'm really pumped about this dog. The hardest part about his training has been bribing my wife to come work the flash light under the overpasses for the pigeons.
