Shiloh's 1st time on birds.

Post by gard86 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 1:50 pm

My father and I took my four month old brittany to a preserve up the road from us on Friday.I went there with no real expectations but just wanted to see what he would do.They put out seven chuckers with flags marking where the birds were so we would know where they were.I brought the dog into the flag up wind and he pointed and held point on all the birds. He even brought two of the birds back to me.I was speechless. It was like watching your son score touchdowns at a football game.I know that he is still very young and not every time out will be like that but what a way to get started. My first hunting dog ever and training him myself.I couldn't be happier. :D
