Great Weekend

Post by Munster » Sun Aug 29, 2010 7:33 pm

Took the family and the dogs on a road trip to test at our NAVHDA chapter.
My 13 year old son tested one of our dogs in Utility. SHe gave him a ittle bit of trouble on the duck search but everything else went well. I would say for his first test he did a great job. They walked away with a 180 Prize III. I am very proud of them both. Although I feel like I could box Abby's ears for being difficult!

MAx and I ended up with a Prize I 112. It was a brutal day as far as heat goes. Plenty of dogs had a hard time with the track. We were fortunate to have a smooth ride. I am very proud of this dog. Now we need to get ready for our VJP in the spring!

Here are a few pictures that Danton took. I will have pictures of Danton and Abby soon. A friend was taking them as she is much better at it then I am.

Thank you everyone! I guess I could have picked a more original topic title, just noticed it was the same as anothers posters. Sorry

I have a phenominal son and a great dog. That is how it happened I guess. But we just spent most of our time on field work. SHould have hit the duck search harder, but she has always done a great job on duck search so I wasnt worried. My fault. Danton worked hard and I am very proud of him. He stuck with training even when his friends were going swimming or to the movies. He is a trooper.

I guess plans are to retire the old lady and focus on the pup now, but I know she is a prize I dog and cant help but want to give it go one more time. We will see.

Thanks for the comments, Danton will enjoy reading them when he gets out of school!

Big Congrats to you and Danton! Like everyone else I'm excited to see a young person get involved, that is one of the big benefits I see in NAVHDA, it is or can be a family activity. Congrats again and it was nice meeting you and your family.

I enjoyed your young son taking part in our test he was fun to be around . It was nice to to have a young person run a dog. You should be very proud of such a nice young man! Your dogs were fun to enjoyed shooting birds for Dan and Abby.

Randy, the club ran a very nice and smooth test. The members were very helpful and we had a great time. I am sure that you are going to have a smooth running of the invitational. Thanks for all your help.
