First Trial Entered, First PLacement

Post by jbogacki76 » Sun Apr 18, 2010 7:53 pm

Well, its a puppy brag but it made me feel good. After Dennis and Bill convinced me to do it, I handled Hailey in the Open Puppy. She ran good for the first shot at a trial. She did a really nice job running I thought, and opened up. She ended up placing 2nd.

Joe,
I am glad you pulled the trigger on the handling duties  , and could not be more excited for you & Hailey. You two are a great team and it was a well deserved placement of which I am sure there will be many more. Nice picture.

Joe,

Congratulations on the placement. I'm sure there'll be plenty more in due time. Keep up the good work.

Joe,
Congrats on your pup's placement- way to go! :D
Hopefully, you'll have some more trials in your area this spring before it gets too hot.

One question though- what the heck happened to the guy behind your left
shoulder in the picture? Did he get shot with a blank pistol?

They had that one staked out all day. I think he comes from an All Age breeding. :)

Thanks again to BL Photography for taking the pic. The wife would have killed me if I didn't get one before I left.

Thanks for the congrats. Running the dog off of horse back is an unreal feeling let me tell you.

Congrats Joe,

That first trip handling on horseback is memorable and with the placement will be specially so for you.

Just wait 'til you get a horse that wants to help you flush the bird when you dismount after you find
your dog standing a bird!

This happened to me once- just once...... and never since. I always ask a judge to hold the reins if
I don't have a scout riding with me.
