We went to the MD Sporting Dog Association Field Trial down in Petersburg, DE yesterday to try our hand at running with the longtails in our first American Field trial. Here were the results (That's Blaze in the middle of the longtails with the red ribbon

It was a small trial....only 6 braces of OSD, but I couldn't have asked for a better performance out of my boy. 3 rock solid finds, a clean stop to flush, and an impressive ground race where he reached for the far edges of the fields. It's been a LONG winter here in NW Jersey, so it was nice to get out there and play this weekend.
