Congrats to Andy Cooper and Dez on their 2nd place finish at the Gateway GSP Club Trial today. Dez picked up 2 retrieving points towards his AFC.

Congrats Coop and Dez. Somewhat shocked. That Dez can hunt wild birds and win field trials. Think he's the first of his kind. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thanks guys, he had a pretty good weekend I was just along for the ride. There were a lot of nice dogs at this trail, we got lucky this weekend. I got a lot of help and advice, and was glad to get it.

It was good to see a bunch of folks I hadn't seen in a few years and finally meet a bunch of other folks I have "known" on GDF for a long time.

Just when you're flying high they remind you that they are still dogs and not robots. Dez and I ventured to NW Mo this weekend to run in the Heart of America walking trial. I was excited to run on these grounds as they are a little more open and I was curious to see if my boy would open up.

He ran well until what should have been a stop to flush turned into a pause to to flush and then continue hunting.... as a handler I could probably have done a better job protecting him.

We will be back running again next weekend.

Heart of America is a great group and they put on a very nice trial, I really enjoyed myself.
