New SH

Post by snips » Sun Apr 09, 2006 9:02 pm

I finished Snips Boogie Man`s (Bomber) SH on Sat at Munfordville Hunt Test. I think I am doomed everytime I go up there, what should have been a 4 hour drive ended up being 9 and 1/2 hours. Munfordville was hit last fall by tornados when I was there, then I went thu it in Tn on Fri. It was a devestating sight. I am starting to think I am bad luck.

Bruce, I was just taking a drink as I read that.... and now am cleaning the coffee, I expelled through my nose off the screen and keyboard. "Twister” that has potential "Snips Bird Field Twister"... "pear" :D

Some more suggestions:

If it's a boy: "Snips Wizard of Oz" - Twister

If it's a girl: "Snips Dorothy Gale 'n Toto" - Twister

Another girl littermate: "Snips Wicked Witch of the West" - Dubs / West

Sorry we're naming all your pups Brenda!

Congrats Brenda! Well, it's official - I gotta get on the stick! Bomber's out doing us ;)

Glad you made it okay - but what a dreadful drive... uggghh!

And speaking of the tornado's, we had one spotted not too far down the road - up here on the mountain FRI. Issued big warning and evacuted those on mobile homes near here. The power was out and it was pitch black outside so I brought the dogs in. Everybody is used to coming inside, but not all at once!! They thought it was a big dog party and I had a time getting everybody sorted out and chilled out. And I am wanting one more? I am crazy! Course I had two extras - the boarding brittany and my mom's dog was with us for a few weeks, so it's really like a trade. Still Nothing like a full house!!! 2 adult humans, 2 children under 7, 7 dogs, and one terrified cat!

I know this does not pertain to the subject for the most part, but it reminded me of how we named my mother-in-law's Boston Terrier puppy. My dog (Ozzie) sired the pup, and when she was still a young pup, my in-laws house was hit by a tornado. The puppy was in a 10'x10' kennel and the tornado passed right over it and lifted her out of the pen and carried her about 300 yards across the highway. Needless to say she was very shook up, but not injured. At the time, we were just calling her "Peggy" but had not officially registered a name yet. After being carried away by a tornado, we went with "Peggy of Oz" as this seemed fitting in so many ways. The house did not survive, but the dog lived on!

Brenda,
Congrats on finishing his SH . Very nice looking dog. Best of luck on his MH. Good luck at the trial of champions. My friend and client Brett Bryan and (Bryan's Sin City Boss) drew Scott Townsend and that Pointer he runs (17 x Ch.) the first round.
