Got a call tonight and my young dog we had bragged on a bit last month, has been declared the Illinois Derby of the Year. AJ's Hoosier Angel has been or will be awarded the distiction of being the Illinois Derby of the year 2009. Very consistent as a bird dog and a field trial dog as she was only entered in 4 derbies, a winner coming along again.

She was bred by Mr. Art Armbrust of Omaha Nebraska, His Field Champion allage bitch Wendy, was bred to FC/AFC Dunfur's Hoosieer LB and this produced the litter. Congratulations are in order to Mr. Art and Wendy and LB. There are a number of other litter mates that are doing very well also.

Makes me want to pop a button. She will not be 2 years old till October and will be a contender in the GSPCA futurity in Kansas for sure.

The 1st year she was just bird hunted and then given to Outbak Kennels and Mr. Rich Barber last November where she spent the winter in Georgia refining her skills with Rich and Joyce. She is like her dad and a very classy bird dog that loves to find them and point'em.
