Ohio N.S.T.R.A.

Ohio N.S.T.R.A.
A great weekend was had here in Ohio by myself and long time friend Bo Thompson at the Wayne County Coonhunters Trial.

It started off by my soon to be nine year old shorthair bitch "Grounds For Divorce" going 4x4 and earning a 2nd place in open on A field. Sadie has only trialed a half dozen times before, working on the amateur side of N.S.T.R.A. Sadie was trained by the late Mr.Lou Foehrkolb and Bobby Grove (Fieldmasters Shorthairs) early on in her life. Bobby also used her in his breeding program. Truely an outstanding birddog and producer.

Then it was time for my boy Fieldmaster's Maximumpoint "Sitich" to do his thing! Stitch needed one point to finish his Amateur Champoinship and the pressure was on! He went 4x4 and earned first place, 3 pts in A field and his Championship! We have run N.S.T.R.A. less than a year!!

Now it was my friend Bo's turn and what a show he put on with his bitch Fieldmaster's Woodland Cricket! Bo's experience is less than six months in handling a bird dog!! In the Amateur B field Cricket went 4x4 and a back (scoreing 72 on the back) to win first place!! They then went to the A field and posted a third place!! On Sunday Bo and Cricket proved they wasn't done yet. They tore the B field up again against a two time open placement bracemate for another 1st place and then went to A field and earned a second place to finish out the day!!! Giving them two 1st's , a 2nd and a third for the weekend.

What a joy when bird dogs do it right!
Thank you Bobby Grove for breeding Outstanding Competitive BIRD DOGS!!!
Thank you Rick Hopkins and Brenda Roe for training Stitch and Cricket and getting them both where they needed to be!!!

Rex,
Glad to have you on the forum. Huge Congrats to you on finishing Stitch's Amateur NSTRA Championship and Bo Thompson on his wins and placements with Cricket this past weekend. What a great weekend that had to have been. Cricket getting 9 points in one weekend , If Bo isn't hooked he never will be. Glad to see old Sadie can still put it down. She was one hellva bitch.

Maximumpoint,

Congrats on your weekend!! Savor that one, they don't come along like that very often. Congrats on finishing Stitch's Amateur NSTRA Ch!

Bobby told me the other night you guys were really starting to come along in NSTRA. I'm glad ya'll enjoy it. It is fun to compete in. I hope one of these days, I can meet up with you guys at a trial somewhere. I'd like to meet ya'll and I'd love to watch your dogs work.

Congrats again and keep up the good work! Can it be called work? To fun, to be work
