It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Where would you like us to gather so you can hand out the cigars and buy everyone a drink? Hope all goes well and you will be in the field in a very short time.

I guess it is isnt it? Im still refusing to admit that hunting season this year is most likely shot but reality is setting in, but I am looking forward for many more excuses to go in the future. You know...male bonding and all

congrats.

Don't try and rush the hunting w/him. His mom may have some motherly instinct reaction on that subject, my wife did. Finally talked here into it at 4 years old and here is what happed. Got the vest the plastic gun all the fun stuff, well we got 100 yards from the truck and I was carrying all of it. 200 yards from the truck I was carrying him and all the stuff back to the truck. grand total of 20 min. in the field. Now he has the bug well worth it I thought. Mom can't say no when he wants to go hunting.  Yes your hunting season is over. My last son was born Oct 16 and yes no hunting that year.

Yes my friend that is great news. Be prepared for a great change. The first time you hold that little guy right, after he comes out of the oven, your entire world will change. Nothing else will matter even a little bit when compared to him. It is truly the greatest day of your life. And as for taking him out in the field, take him! Your not going to break him, he's not made of eggshells. I think thats how they learn the un-teachable things by just being around it/you all the time. Then all the ways of doing things are ingrained in them. Just make sure he is holding the gun snuggly and his bottle removed from his mouth when he fires that first round :D !
