Dogs - So Mannerly!

It was a nice, spring day yesterday and I was outside by the driveway measuring lumber for the floor of my new pigeon coop. I had little sisters hanging around and one of their stems of plasticky flowers (the kind you can get from the craft store) was laying on the driveway. My red setter picked it up and started carrying it away, so one of the girls got stressed out that the dog was going to eat it. One or more of them tried to get it away from her, but she evaded them. I quit paying attention and the next thing I knew someone said, "Indy's giving you flowers!" and sure enough, she was standing in front of me with the flowers in her mouth. I don't remember if I put out my hand or not, but she dropped them for me like that's what she was intending to do all along. Funny how it happened right as I was dumping time into building something for her benefit.
