Kennel Sizing for Vehicles

Post by ddoyle » Sun Mar 06, 2022 6:06 pm

Folks,
I am looking for a kennel for the back of a Ford Escape. It is a company vehicle and may be switching to a RAV4. Looking for a site for sizes. I have been using a larger crate and putting down the back seat but would rather not mess with that hassle.

Ruff Land Intermediate SUV crates are ideal, the back edge is slanted to fit behind the back car seat. If you have a larger dog, they also make a crate with a side door so it can be placed in sideways. The intermediate should fit in either car, I fit two in the back of a Subaru Forester. My 65lb GSP has plenty of space in it.

First of all, what size/breed of dog are you transporting?

I have a Vizsla and GSP. That is the challenge in the Escape there is not a lot of room back there.

Two of these should fit and are the proper size for your dogs.
