No responses to this post above , so I thought it was important enough to move here from the Health category.

(Someone else -new member- in the Health category is also looking for help.)

Thanks for posting, good information to have. I have always heard a lot of recommendations for the product but have never tried them because all the other jewelry the dogs have to wear when they go to the field. Still sticking with Frontline Plus for now.

That word "linked" is pretty misleading, in my opinion.

I have used Sorresto in the past with no problems. I've used other brands also with no problems

No problems with Seresto collars here, either.

We only purchase them from vendors approved by Bayer, which we found on their website. Buying at steep discounts from places like ebay risks purchasing fakes.

A lady I know used one on her Red Setter. Some pretty fishy stuff started happening... I won't trust them nor will I use them after hearing her story.

Are you sure they are not the fake knock offs coming out of China that people or buying from Ebay.
I have been using them for 4 years. I buy mine from Chewy but I see Walmart now has them.

Our vet thinks some dogs are pre-disposed to problems but she hasn't seen them with the dogs she cares for. We use them on our dogs and haven't had a problem. I wouldn't use them if we did obviously. I just got new ones for our dogs for the year. They really help keeping ticks and chiggers off our dogs.
I got mine off of Amazon on a deal of the day discount deal.

I would assume that since her vet recommended it, she probably got the collar from him (and since she didn't even have internet or a smartphone it seems unlikely that she would've ordered it from somewhere else), BUT I can't be sure without asking her. I read reviews on Amazon and there's a lot of terrible ones, but I'm glad you guys haven't had bad experiences with them.
