Thanks a bunch! I don’t know how I missed that ad when I was on Craigslist!

Very nice looking pigeons! A word of caution - do not buy white pigeons! Dogs can see them almost like they have X-Ray vision. It can really mess up your intentions. At least, that has been my experience.

So do birds of prey. Don’t ask!

I've used homer's and ferals both for a lot of years. Homer's can really get expensive to buy, ferals you can usually find a plce to catch your own.I prefer ferals to homer's. They are a lot smaller than homer's and not such a handfull when working with them. The are not a social as homer's either, lot spookier. My homer's are out of 300 mi racer's but bit over 100 mi is all I've flown them. Actually I seldom train more than about 50 mi from the house and my ferals always come home, less the loss to predator birds. Within reason they home every bit as good as homer's. If you get homer's I'd suggest getting squeeker's, young birds flying in the loft but haven't been flown outside yet. Much easier to settle in a new loft. If you look at the bridge of the nose, on a squeeker it will normally be a pink color. As they mature it turns white. With ferals, put them in a loft and feed them and wait till they are on nest's. Once they have young birds they will return to the loft and the young you raise from either bird will also always return. As I said, I prefer ferals!

Did you find any? If not, how many are you wanting to buy. I may know a source.
