Pheasant Hunting Services Inquiry

Post by skyehunter » Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:37 am

We are looking for recommendations for guided pheasant hunting over pointers (GSP / Britt / EP). Some of our wish list items are below. We are flexible on some. Ideal location is less than 1K miles from Phoenix, AZ (Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Etc...)

Wish List:

***EDITED*** Liberated birds ok if they fly wild...ish :) (Primary focus is the wild bird experience)
Leased private land and Public land ok
Lodging and meals included or easily available
No memberships
Small group (4 ish)
Bring your own dogs allowed (Inside lodging of animals if cold climate area)

Thanks in advance, I did the search thing (not much luck) so if you know of this question already being asked, feel free to send the link.

N0. 1 destination by far South Dakota. Pheasant numbers down. Lots of private and public hunting lands available. Huge price variation. From hundreds to thousands a day. Might be hard to find a place that is not booked up now. You might be able to go on your own and hunt public land or pay to hunt private land. Most motels allow dogs in rooms , Some require a deposit. A bad day in SD is better than the best day in most places now....Cj
A little farther than you wanted but southwest SD is in the ball park

Thanks for the input. Went to Nebraska couple weeks ago on public land (was marginal at best), Kansas many years in a row before. Certainly a more prominent area for birds if we head East a bit. Was mostly looking to see if there is someone, something worthy of the trip if we try to shorten up our drive a bit.

Skyehunter, I think Pheasant Run looks promising especially when you consider the proximity to AZ.
Luring...I must admit.
