Ugh...I hate cats! Especially the ones with claws!

Post by luvthemud » Wed Jun 21, 2017 7:40 pm

Just got home from an emergency visit to the vet. A couple hours ago, my 3 month old GSP discovered that some cats have claws :x .

He is used to our 21 year old declawed cat that basically let's him so anything, so when he approached my parents cat, who I normally make sure is locked away when I visit but didn't this time, he got clawed!

Luckily, the claw didn't hit the cornea, but it did do a number on his 3rd eyelid. Vet seems optimistic that it will heal ok, but there is a chance that the gland might be damaged. Doesn't seem to bother him one bit, so fingers crossed.

I am so upset at myself right now.

I'm sorry that happened and hope all turns out well.
Some dogs and cats get along great.

I am LUCKY, I have a bad allergy to cats. My adult kids (3) understand this so as they married and had families of their own the Daughters in Laws and one Son in Law knew they could not have cats................! How lucky I am!

Maybe you too can develop a sudden allergy to CATS!

Yeah, these cats don't get along with anybody or anything. I should have known better than to take him off his leash until they were put away.
