Anyone else have this problem? What do you do to try and keep it from happening?
I use Mushers Secret before hunting and have to reapply every so often while in the field.
Also works for wind burn, chapped lips.

I did the trimming
and the mushers secret ,etc
I grew tired of it all.
the company and the boots are geared for sled dog racing
the boots stay on surprisingly well, never lost one yet .
but even if you do ,there cheap enough.
they make several styles for different conditions if needed

Me,too. Very worthwhile stuff. How often (or if) you re-apply depends on the quality of the snow. And the tightness and shape of the individual dog's paws.brindleplott wrote: I use Mushers Secret before hunting and have to reapply every so often while in the field.
Some people use dog boots.

Biggest thing is shaving and clipping hair between pads and toes.
