Starting pup search.

New guy here. I mostly waterfowl hunt here in Louisiana and have always had golden retrievers. My dog is getting to the end of her career and I am starting a search for a new pup. I am leaning hard twards a gsp because I would like a dual purpose dog that I could also woodcock hunt with and because I just always wanted one. Anyone know any good reputable breeders in the louisiana/texas area? Not scared to drive or get a dog shipped but would rather stay close if possible.

Ya, that would be wildrose. He doesn't update his website.so you have to contact him to see what's going on.

Not close but Marzolf X Kennels in Canton SD just announced a very nice upcoming litter. Both sire and dam have VC and MH titles. Ringneck Kennels in KS has some nice dogs as well. Clyde at Sharp Shooter kennels always has great pups.

Yup, CR has great dogs. He is in West Texas north of Amarillo.

I will def look into them. Im not opposed to getting a pup shipped if it comes down to that. Im not ready quite yet for the pup just want to do all my homework for when I am.

I just got a pup from Charlie. He has a really classy looking female named Maddie that will be in season in about another 5 months. He has a litter right now that should be weaned soon. Nice looking pups and a good guy.

I spoke with Charlie recently and really enjoyed the talk. He is at the top of my list if I decide to go with a gsp.
