That's one growing pup! How much does he weigh now?

On a side note, that looks just like the lake that my family frequents here in IL. Same sand/clay mixture of soil on the banks. Just a guess, but I bet that lake is good crappie fishin' in the cold weather.

WOW, GREAT pics Grant. Did you take him out and let him swim? How did your hunt go, were the birds good?

Well,

Lindsay took pictures with the 35mm and BLEW MY PICS AWAY! I'm going to scan them into the computer tomorrow! Let me tell you, that little sucker throws some awesome poses, and its fun trying to catch them at just the right second.

He did swim and did good. In picture of me standing in the water, I'm actually on a rock, so the water was about 4 feet deep. About three times he swam out to me =)

Bell is doing great on the birds. I hope it does not rain this weekend for that fun trial... Some of the birds flew good and others would just walk around in front of her after I kicked them up. She'd say on point though. I'd go in and kick around, grap the bird, give it a good squeeze and toss, fire the gun, and the fetch was on.

She is starting to drop the birds at my feet though.....

grant, have you tried taking the bird out of her mouth before she gets the chance to drop it (possibly say fetch right before that) and then telling her that she is the greatest dog in the world afterwards and making a huge deal out of how great she is doing (obviously). by not letting her make the mistake in the first place, she will learn that bringing it to your hand is the only way to do it. as always, keep it fun for bell too (and of course be patient), and she will come around. OH... and BTW, you jinxed US this past weekend... IT DID RAIN !!! good luck at your trial this weekend though! :)
