Pups growth seems to have stalled

Post by Mstng_ray » Wed Jan 16, 2013 6:09 pm

Well guys and girls she may end up being petite. Like I have mentioned before she is a GSP mix( mother GSP) who knows what the daddy is. Just about 5 1/2 months and right at 30 lbs. She had a nice growth spurt a couple months ago but has since slowed. Her drive to hunt is incredible and we will continue to train. We'll just stick to the small birds even though she loves to chase geese. And like I told the wife. She's still big enough to fetch me a beer.

They stop growing at about 2. She has plenty of time. Mine is 2.5 and is 40lbs. At 7 months she weighed 34lbs.

See avatar. 31 pound setter ( runt of the litter) at 7 years of age. Still a fireball on birds.
