Trouble with my TT collar, any ideas

Post by Munster » Wed Dec 26, 2012 9:21 pm

I have the Pro 200 and love the thing. I have TT before also. No problem. Now one of my collars is losing range at 10-15 yards.

Thought it was the dog ignoring me, so I turned it up to 6.no reply. When the dog cam eback I checked the collar(without turning the dial beck down to 2 I might add) and we have plenty of juice up close.

Thought about reprogramming. But that wont make sense as it has a 10-15 yard range, so it is programmed.

Internal antenna fried?

This is EXACTLY what happened to me. I just sent my unit off on Friday. They said it will cost about $65 to have a tech fix it. No biggie and it's back to me before we know it. I don't rely on the eCollar much so it took me awhile to realize it had gone off, but the other day Moxy was having too good a time and I slowly escalated the level until we were at max and she didn't even flinch. Plenty of juice up close, though. Call TT and they'll get you fixed up.

Any word what was the cause of the problem when you sent it back?

I haven't gotten it back yet. Sent it off less than a week ago.

Had a similar problem. On a replacement collar that TT to replace one with a different problem. TT was hard to get a hold of. Took a month of emails and calls to get a real person... its why I switched to sportdog for my new collar. Just felt like TT was running on reputation and products were as unreliable as the others.

TT is easy to get ahold of. I emailed them and asked a few questions and they told me to call in so they could check serial numbers to see if warranted. They answered right away. If you have a G2 or G3 receiver they are charging $75 to replace it.
