Health papers?

Post by isuhunter » Thu Oct 18, 2012 6:35 am

We are taking a trip to Kansas next month and I can't find if I need health papers for my dog. I'm a first time owner and recalling my days of showing livestock we always had to have health papers when crossing state lines. Does anybody know or know where I can find out?
Thanks!

We travel with shot records and make sure we have a current rabies certificate with us for the dogs.

You need a health certificate from your Vet if you fly your dog but if driving you don't need anything.

you may not need them, but I always travel with shotrecords for my dogs, you never know when you may need to make an emergency vet visit!

I think that legally the only things that one may be required to show are a current rabies cert and a current dog license. All other shots are not legally required.

Current dog license isn't required since most states don't require one. Might as well take shot records. Can't hurt Cj

Depending on your phone, your vet can probably e-mail the records and you can store the document.
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
