Gonna throw this breeding possibility out there

Post by lvrgsp » Sun Aug 26, 2012 3:51 pm

Looking at breeding my Jill dog this next cycle, which should be next March as she is a once a year cycle dog.
May be her last litter. We will see.
All things go as planned this is the GUY I'm going to.
H's K-man Guy.

I have references on her previous litter if needed. Jill is by far the toughest birddog I have ever owned, male or female.
Tough all day everyday bitch with a HUGE NOSE and very early natural patience on game....
She is currently being campaigned by Rich Barber at Outbak Kennel......
Interested call or text.

Thanks

Well I may not be objective since my avatar dog is out of Guy. My wife and I have had bird dogs for 40 years. We have loved them all, but would have to say Luke is the best. Has it all in the field...style, animation, range, great nose. Delightful in the house. OFA excellent. I would think pups of your breeding would go pretty fast! Good luck

Please do. I really feel guilty not leaving him with Rich to campaign. My wife and I just really enjoy hunting him with our other two Shorthairs. As a matter of fact, ordering one of those new Garmin Alphas' to keep up the the rascal. Good luck

For whatever reason, I'm sorry. I'm sure you and many of those that were watching for this breeding are disappointed! Good luck and I'll keep my finger's crossed for next year. Would be a "heck" of a match.....

Sorry it didn't work out. I've been hearing a lot of dogs the last couple years are having trouble producing. And heat cycles just changing out of the blue. Couple I know have only been throwing single pups and these same dogs were throwing decent litters years back. Just know your not alone.

Probably something with the ozone :|

I like the ozone deal..... ;)

She just came in way to early this year and with all the work Rich has put in with her over this past summer and winter training camp, we felt she deserved
a shot at a good full spring season, something she has never had before, we will evaaluate her situation next spring and see where she stand then.
Our challenge with Jill is she is a once a year dog and always in the spring, and she will be 7 next Feb...So some serious thought to put into that breeding for next year.

Thanks

I will she just took 2ND in a 28 dog OGD stake in Georgia.
Couldn't be happier with the work Rich has done with her.
She does well with him.
