Afternoon training pics

Post by codym » Fri Jul 20, 2012 8:19 pm

It rained just a bit this afternoon, just enough to cool things down to work a dog or two.

Isn't constipation usually some intense moments? Great pic though, really.

Great looking pics Cody. Let him have his positions. I love it when they get all contorted on birds. Especially when the look up on a run. He looks great. Keep up the good work.

Good Luck,

Joe

nice Cody, HighFinance throws some of the best looking dogs out there with great style imo! We had a nice one off HighFinance to a litter mate sister to NC Honkytonk Highrise sure wish we'd held on to him. Did you make that breeding to Honkytonk Cash yet and if so have the pups been born yet? SCK

No unfortunately she didn't take. I was really looking foreward to getting some pups out of that breeding. Her and doc are two of the best bird finders i've ever been around they look very stylish doing it. But I guess thats the way it goes sometimes, I think I may breed her to him again next summer (she only goes in once a year) or a may breed her to a son of blackhawk out a guardrail female. I have't decided yet.

They line up really well and I think the pups would be gorgeous as they both have nice clean bodies. I just want to see what he does this fall on wild bird.So far he is taking training well. His bird drive is through the roof and he is a monster on the ground. I think I'm going to send him to Az to guide with a friend of mine on mearns for experience. Mearns are a great bird for a young dog.

I have been breaking the last couple dogs I've had this way. The collar around the flank for stoping them. It's a different point of contact, I use the neck for recall and later if I force break the dog. It's worked ok for him and this other young female I am working.
