Steve,

If you are talking about Nuke who won the NGSPA this year, yes I have met him. My dog is with Chris Goegan, the trainer, of Nuke. I'll ask Chris if he has a picture of Nuke for me. I am currently doing his Web site and I expect him to want his picture with Nuke on it. I should have it by the end of the week if he sends me the CDs of all the pics on them.

Looks like he has a bit of a chop jaw on him, kind of hound like.

Chop jaw? That's a new term on me. But if you mean the way his muzzle looks, take note that the pictures were taken on a day where the grass was tall and green, and a clear day. In the Midwest that means it's hot. To me it just looks like the dog's dewlap is sagging a bit, probably because of the heat.

Ref "Chopjaw" - I will try and explain (loosly) what I was told regarding this "look" PLEASE feel free to correct me if I am wrong...in a VERY loose way it was decribe to me by the following...

I had an opportunity to breed my GSP to a female that was on the trial circuit in the OK, KS area (approx 5 years ago). The owner was breeding for the big run, aka, AA etc. but wanted the nose of the German dogs. He told me that he felt it may be a good combination because my dog had the "hound-like" features that were strong in the German dogs with STRONG noses. He was breeding for the sleak, white & liver patched, big running dogs and wanted to combine that with the nose.

That was the first time that term was described to me. He kinda divided it by nose and low head - run and high head.

This Nuke may be the BEST of both worlds...sure looks like it!
Nice Dog!
