Post by Francois P vd Walt » Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:45 pm

Today my dog was working fine, just a share or rather a question. She went on point tale wagging as I came closer the tale stopped ? Have any of you out there had this, does it change ?

It tends to decrease with maturity and confidence. It has never gone away when they are hunting mousies, though.
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

My female will do this. It's usually not a really bad exaggerated wag. Just a quick back and forth, almost exaggerated quivering. When I get about 20 yards away it gets as solid as can be. It's gotten better with age and experience so hopefully that continues.

i don't move to the dog until the tail stops.........saves some walking & keeps my objectives on line
dog learns not to stuff around because it won't get my attention till it's serious
