Embattled California wildlife official ---

Post by Dakota Swede » Wed Feb 29, 2012 8:47 am

Oh my. It is a different world today. Have you seen this news?

"The embattled president of California's Fish and Game Commission pushed back at his critics Tuesday, telling them he did nothing wrong by killing a mountain lion on a big game hunt in Idaho. And he vowed not to resign."

Resign for hunting? What do you think about this? I'm glad I'm not in California.

Fish and game will be having a meeting in riverside, CA... A lot of groups are asking for people to show up in support of this official. Maybe they should get a clue and allow mountain lion hunting in this state.

What a bad man! About par for California. Ya know, the only reason anyone has a problem with California is because it has been run by mob rule for so long. The most dangerious part of that mob is in the government down there. I can't imagine any other state in the country doing what is happening there.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!

It's absolutely ridiculous. He broke no law at all. I feel sorry for sportsmen who live in that nutcrack state and have to deal with all of those idiots on a daily basis. Makes me wake up and say, God Bless Texas! every morning.

Sounds to me like the Claifornia Fish aqnd Game commission needs a rule change.

I wonder what kind of furor would be rasied if the requirements to sit on the comission included a longstanding commitment to hunting and fishing and needed to be demonstrated by things such as active participation in some or all fo the various "blood sports" which the fish and Game commission administers. Twenty years of purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, waterfowl stamps, issuance of HIP numbers, filled deer tags, etc. might be a good body of such evidence demonstrating a prospective comissioner's dedication to the interests of hunters and fishermen as well as the wildlife.

Betcha the tree huggers and animal rightists would love that.

I know, I know, it is a reasonable requirement and makes perfect sense, so there is no way it is ever going to happen.

Should be a season on them that oppose this mans hunting. Ya I posted that on the page. True idiots out there. Folks would rather see their own children killed by a lion than shoot it. Makes me sick.

There was a season on lion in Calif. years ago. And in fact they had a bounty. But the tree huggers said they never saw a lion so they must have been endangered. What a joke. They see you and you don't see them. Couldn't wait to leave that state in 78. The only reason to go back was to see my kids and go deep sea fishing.

California DFG can't even do a deer count, catch illegals who poach, people who litter in waterways , catch fish over the limit. The only time I have seen DFG iS when I Target native trout in places the majority of the people will never go.

I think there is not enough of them to actually make a difference. Have not been checked for a hunting license ky entire life in CA and I will thank the first one who checks and will probably offer to buy him a beer.

This state has everything backwards and gives more rights to those who are here illegally than the legal citizens that pay them.
