Post by TAK » Sun Jun 11, 2006 11:42 pm

I like to cast a vote about listing where each of you are from. You know in the location part. I think we all (or me) like to see where everyone is from....... Just thinking outloud.............

Taber Alberta here.

I am kinda interested in seeing where everyone is from too. Is there a map program we can use where we can say put a dot or somthing on a map and everyone can log in type in their town or city and it will post where they are from? Lets see some towns here too not just areas. If we can get enough people to put in towns or citys I will try to do up a map on my computer and post it to show where everyone is from.

Some folks might have concerns about giving out details.

I'm not. I live just outside Springboro, OH. Just grab a topo map and look for the highest point in Warren County. I'm about 800 yards due North. Makes for great light shows during thunderboomers.

Well, I figured my location is posted in my profile anyways
It might help to move the topic to "members only", although with 1029 registered users I don't know how much difference it would make!?

yeah, most of us just put it in our profile. some people might have personal reasons not too. crawlers are out here constantly, mining for that kind of info.

Dixon IL as posted in my profile. If I was in charge I would have a place for everyone to fill out a bio so we can become friends and not just a group of people.

As my bio says, Iowa is home to me now. Used to live in the tax me state of nebr but after taxes go up every single year.....moved.

Love it at my place. lately we have to suffer the sounds of the bob white calling his mates at dusk, mornings find me feeding my steers and listening to the wild pheasants crow :)

I did hit a deer tho on Sunday, a buck in velvet. No harm to the car or deer, I drive real slow early morning and late evening. I will hopefully see him this fall :)

Have hit 5 deer in 3 years now.

Texas has some serious bumpers...The ratings on Texas deer bumpers is what speed they will hold up to ....we have an 85 mile per hour deer bumper...They also refer to deer as Texas speed bumps

You know, Generally speaking, our location (where we're from) is posted on in our aviatar (sp?) If we could just fill that portion of our profile out we would all know where each other is from. Food for thought!

I agree. It is helpful, when someone asks a question that is location specific (like, where can I find birds?) to be able to go look at the profile.
