Re: Flying with a dog
If you are thinking about flying commercial, go on the particular airline's website and do a search for "pet" and "travel" or something similar, and you will find their requirements and information. My dogs have flown with me dozens of times, it is a non-event.
If you are talking about in the back of your own airplane, the "dog muffs" don't help at all, they just work themselvs off. Do get a harness of the type that a seat belt will go through, to prevent the dog from coming into your lap in the front seat. I generally don't go above 12,500 with dogs on board, and like to stay below 10,000 unless there is a reason.
