issues/problems with the older garmins

Post by jimbo&rooster » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:44 pm

LCS has a pretty good deal going on the older garmin astro. Were there any major issues with these units? I'm mainly just concerned with finding/keeping trac of my dogs so not looking for a terribly fancy unit.

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

To extend your range try a tracker unit. That way you dont have to play the video game while your hunting.

Its comical that because it has an LCD screen its a video game, kinda makes the tracker look like Pong hey

But hey if pongs your thing , by all means enjoy :D

I had purchased the new DC40 when they first came out and had nothing but problems. Took it back and bought a used DC30 off this forum and have not had a single issue. Some say the early DC40 had a software issue, but I was not going to stick it out and see.
