What do you use to rid the urine smell from concrete?

What do you guys/gals use to remove the urine smell from the concrete runs?

It seems like the concrete soaks up the urine and as a consequence just smells of urine all the time. Do you use diluted bleach, vinegar, pinesol, etc.

diluted bleach rinse and sun exposure seems to do the best for me.

I found on a site...I think here...that the original blue Dawn dish soap works well. I tried it and for two dogs it does well! It is cheap too.

My approach is Simple Greed in a spray bottle and a 50/50 mix of bleach and water, and a scrub with a brush.

Dawn is an outstanding deal as well. Years ago, I would use powered lime and rinse.

Simple Green +1. Works best for cutting through dog house grime, and smells nice...

bleach water works well on cat smell FYI...

about 2 cups bleach 1 small box of baking soda about 1.5 gal of water in a pump sprayer . spray the whole area then scrub a little with a push broom . then rinse with alot of water . it seems to work good for me . im planning on using some of the garage floor paint to seal it up when it warms back up.

You might not want to do that - painted concrete gets really slippery when it's wet, even if you dust it with sand. You're probably better off spraying it with a commercial concrete sealant.

When I lived in town and my kennel was surrounded by landscaping and flowers and such I couldn't use bleach. I found a product that works really well. It's called Kennel Guard and is sold by Cabelas. I tried a lot of things that didn't work but this one was great.

I have been using this product for many many years. It works very well. ODOR MUTE is a powder you mix with water. It's enzymes work on the urine smell. Very economical to use. Here is just one of many places to purchase.

One of the problems with bleach is it covers the smell for YOU but is still very strong smell for the dog when put back in the run no matter how much you rinse.

I don't know if this would work.. Works Toilet bowl cleaner.. I recently spilled some of this on a oil stain in my garage, when I wiped it up no sign of a oil stain at all. So I would imagine since this stuff is made to get pee stains of toilets it would work..

I use plain ole household bleach, not diluted, just put some one, use a long handle brush and give it a few minutes. Dog is not in kennel while bleaching. Kennel smells great after rinsing and kills bacteria. I do NOT like the thick outdoor bleach. More expensive and has to be mixed so just stick with cheap household bleach, cheapest brand will do.... bleach is bleach is bleach
