Info on Pipeline GSPs

Post by Cajun Casey » Wed Dec 15, 2010 10:10 pm

Anyone have any firsthand experience with the line? Foundation was FC Pipeline's Coca Cola Cowboy. Never hear too much about them, but he and his offspring show up in a lot of pedigrees.

May be a good thing. I don't think they liked ducks.

I've never seen the dog but I know it appears in Dr. Fred Ryan's dogs. You can ask him or his pro Dan DiMambrio, who is on here as ddshine.

Then what's the use of owning one?....

Yep had a dog out of pipeline kennels. There was a number of dogs that did well for them most notably was probably Coca Cola Cowboy, Drugstore cowboy, Lonestar Cowboy, Bobtailed Bandit, Classic Coke, im sure I am missing others. They had some nice breedings as well with a dog called Chicorees Hickory Doc, I had a solid liver male that was out of Doc bred back to Ruff Cut Rita, she went back to some Checkmate stuff if memory serves me correctly. The kennel was in Michigan, not sure if they are still operating under the Pipeline name or not. Marc Mckinley and Dave Szost were owner/trainers. Used to have a number around for them somewhere.

Does anyone know if Drugstore Cowboy threw any AA pups? Has anyone seen any of his pups run in trials? Or hunted with any of his pups?

Feel free to PM me.

Thanks, Doug

Didn't Mike Aldrich own, or handle, Pipeline's Coca Cola Cowboy?

I believe originally that Dan Anderson was the owner/trainer there. Marc and Dave worked for him when he took over running some other aspects of the business as well as the kennel. In the beginning, I think they were pretty strong in the old German type lines.

I had a male that was a grandson of Bobtailed Bandit. He was also a grandson of Burr Oaks Big Jake bred to Burr Oaks Teakwood on the other side. To be honest, I wish I had about 10 more of him waiting in the kennel. The best wild bird dog that I have owned.
If its not a bird dog, it's just a dog!

DriftSaver, I had a dog out of Teak also, bred to Cunninghams Roustabout Rowdy. He was out of Lyons Ramblin Jute bred to Moesgaards Deejays Sin. I had the same results, one of the best wild bird dogs I've ever seen. We called him Bullseye's Rowdy Demon, and we won alot with him as a puppy/derby dog too. Teak was a Rusty daughter.
