Is there a vest that...

Post by Birddogz » Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:36 am

protects a dog's penis and testicles? My poor male's unit gets punished throughout the year.
Speak kindly to me, beloved master. Revel in my unconditional love, and give me every minute that you can spare, for my time with you is short.

This is the first thread I opened, after not being fully awake yet. DONT DO THAT TO ME!!!

Seriously tho.. I think no such item exists. You could maybe get creative with an old Crown Royal bag and a the cardboard from a Toilet Paper Roll?

I don't think so. The male in my avatar almost got his unit cut in half when jumping a barb wire fence while making a retrieve last year. If it would have been an inch or so futher it would have been alot worse. If it happens this year at least I recently got some pups off of him (6weeks) :D .

A person might be able to modify a jock strap cup with a e-collar strap (similar to flanking the ecollar).

Good Luck

I searched around - you probably have too. Even looked at "hog dog" vests and so on.

I wonder if you could use one of these: http://www.lcsupply.com/Product/Dog-Boo ... Plate.html
and add a "through the legs" strap that attaches top and bottom of the vest (under the belly and a cutout for the tail?). Might be a challenge getting something that won't rub - but choose your poison, beat-up boys or rub spots on your thighs.

I'm sensing a new marketing line for you: Birddogz Nut Protectors. :D

Better add a pee bladder. Have you seen how much male dogs urinate.

If you enclose that thing, you may find he won't hunt, because his eyes will be crossed and he maybe satisfied, if you know what I mean.

We have tons of wild roses in NJ and those things put quite a hurt on my dogs "twig and two berries".
