OT: Kalamazoo, MI drive

I'm headed from Dayton, OH to Kalamazoo, MI in a couple of weeks. I'm good on route/traffic, etc. up to Ft. Wayne. I'm clueless about it from there.

Does anyone travel that route and have an opinion about I-69N to I-94W versus I-69N to I-90W to 131N?

Traffic, construction, etc?

I used to drive that all the time when I live in Grand Rapids and went to portland in to visit family,

Go 69n to 94w and from 69 its only about 45 min before you hit kzoo

I don't know about construction on 94 but traffic is usually light. hope this helps

Thanks, that is good info. Any idea about what kind of road that 131 is?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I haven't driven 131 south of kzoo ever but a lot between kzoo and up north, and its a nice road, not much traffic and I always took it if I could because it was quicker for where I needed to go.

On Google Maps, it shows to be a different kind of road south of Kzoo.

I am right here in Michigan. South of Kzoo is all two lane 60 mph type road all the way down into Indianapolis. I HATE HATE HATE that stretch. It is so boring IMO. I personally would say go 69 up to 94. But no matter where you are in Michigan right now you will hit a lot of construction. No way to avoid it honestly. It is either winter or construction season here.

What brings you to MI?
