Snips needs prayers and Mojo

Post by kninebirddog » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:46 am

Not sure who already knows But Brenda aka snips has been in the hospital for the last few days...She is doing OK but the Dr's are running series of tests trying to figure out what is going on with her...They are thinking it is something viral in her blood but haven't pin pointed anything as of yet.

So if you can just say a prayer that they figure out what it is and that they can get her back on her feet so she can get back to what she loves doing
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
"When I hear somebody talk about a horse or cow being stupid, I figure its a sure sign that the animal has outfoxed them." Tom Dorrance

Please get better soon! I'll try to give rick a call tomorrow, but please call if there is anything at all I can do. If your dogs need anything just don't hesitate to ask!!! you can always twist an arm to get someone to go play with puppies  and maybe we can sneak one in to hospital!!

I talked to Brenda. She seems to be doing OK, but they don't know what's wrong. She's supposed to be seen by an infectious disease specialist in the morning.

True to Brenda form, she wants to be home with the puppies.

Greg, where is she? Is she at one of the medical universities? Hopefully the Infectious Disease physician can figure something out.

And tick borne stuff... my stepmom had rocky mtn spotted fever a few weeks ago and took them several days in the hospital to diagnose even WITH the rash, cause hadn't seen it in that area in years. She was really sick, but rebounded well on doxy. Also a friend in Ooltewah TN had erlichia last year and they told him he had luekemia! but finially diagnosed it correctly after the whole family was terrified.

ANyway get better!

She's at Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Ogelthorp, GA.

Brenda is such a jewel. She's so enthusiastic about dogs and pups. She's lying there, really sick, splitting headache and she's talking about the pups, how nice they were, etc. Gotta love her.

The first thing I asked her when I talked with her was are they testing for Lyme's? I contracted it a couple years ago and had the same symptoms along with a few others. Stubborn me was well into the second stage before going to the Dr. For me it was like having chronic fatigue syndrome, the flu, a migraine and rheumatoid arthritis all rolled up in one. It did take two rounds of Doxy to knock mine out.
