Plastic Collapsible Crates

Post by wems2371 » Sun May 09, 2010 8:43 am

Does anyone have experience with Lion Country Supply's Breakdown (collapsible) dog crate? http://www.lcsupply.com/Product/Kennel- ... Crate.html Nice product? Any other plastic collapsible crates you'd recommend?

I have never used them, but I did find one that is "airline approved" Not sure if that means that it is better quality or what. I do know the airlines are picky so maybe it is a good create. Here is the link to the one I found, Hope that helps some.

Thanks M. That's what I was wondering--if it was kind of flimsy or not. But I'd hope if it was airline approved that it wouldn't be too much of a piece of junk. LCS has free shipping right now on travel stuff. My wish list if awfully big though! :D

I hear ya! I want 2 more launchers, Plans for a pigeon house, plans for a pigeon coop. I want that ezy loader 2 dog kennel. I can go on and on. I also want a platform to put the easy loader kennel on so I can store all my stuff! List goea on and on.
I sometimes see the relief in Jim's eyes when I finally get something like the launchers. But I quickly snatch all the hope away from him when I list the next item I want!

Did you see Max's pointing video?

I've got one of those from LCSupply and I really don't like it. I ordered the largest they have and it's still smaller than my Pet Porter (Vari-Kennel). The doors are not heavy duty at all and the latches are not secure. I ended up attaching a carabiner to the door just to keep it shut, because either of my GSPs would paw at the door and knock it open.

The plastic is also not as durable as a Vari-Kennel. I really like a lot of the stuff I get from LCSupply, but I wouldn't purchase another one of these things.

Thanks for the first hand info Ayres. Sounds like I should pass on that crate. I really wanted a Star Crate http://www.amazon.com/Star-Plastic-Fold ... B000IGJD2M , that I saw a few years ago and liked. But unfortunately, they're out of production and hard to find. :(
