Well he came a bit early...

Post by Ayres » Wed Aug 12, 2009 11:00 am

But he's here nonetheless!

James Isaac Ayres (Isaac) was born on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 4:01 p.m. at home in Flat Rock, IL. He weighed 8lbs 13oz and was 22.5" long.
After a brief stay in the hospital over the weekend, we are all now home and doing great.

So how soon can we start training?

Big congratulations to you and your family, He is wicked adorable. I bet he will have your dogs in shape in no time.
The best part of training is seeing the light come on in your little prot'eg'e.

I think that all the initial training will be him training you. But like all good trainers, he probably has you making changes already without you even realizing it. The trouble will begin when you try to rebel and train him.

Congratulations, it will be lots of work, but well worth it each and every day.

Congrats and enjoy him, they grow up fast. He does have a great birthday though. My daughter was born last year on 8/8/08 and I was born 8/8/78, so I am a little bias.

Thanks to everyone! He is our first, and yes I'm getting my routine shaken up quite a bit. He's really been great around the house though. When we brought him home we introduced him to the dogs by putting his pumpkin seat inside a pack-n-play. Justus went into guard dog mode, standing by the playpen and watching the nearby treeline. Belle just trotted from side to side, sniffing the playpen all the way around.

Then Isaac squeeked and both dogs did a play bow with tails wagging. My guess is that in the years to come he's going to have the dogs around here whipped into shape!

For now, though, it seems he's hungry. Logging off for now....

Looks like you got yourself a keeper. Nice conformation, good coloring, and seems to have a good disposition. Can't beat good bloodlines. Congrats guys!
