Coming Along Nicely

We spent Sunday working dogs. Was a GORGEOUS day! Here are some pics.

This is Chloe AKA Woodland's Money Pit (1 x CH/DC Havapal's Renegade Billy Boy x FC W-Haven's Moose & Dixie's Kim). She turned 2 in mid-March. With a little luck she'll be making her "broke dog" debut over Labor Day at the AF trial in Medford, NJ.

And Blaze AKA DC Britt Haven's Blaze of Glory (Ch. Chilcote's Texas Ranger JH x Britt Haven's Yiik Trend). Blaze has been a dream come true. He finished his FC in 15 trials, all amateur handled, has gun dog placements, shooting dog placements, and now an AAA win (owner handled). I'm having a BLAST with him!!

Karen -

Hope to see you there. The Labor day trial is one I try not to miss. Usually hotter than Hades but there is nothing better to get us all into shape, unless it might be running in the infamous Medford mud.

By the way, in case no one ever told you...if your horse gets packed up with Medford mud, wash it off at the end of the day. If you let it dry on, it is like concrete and will often take hair with it.

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited about getting out with them this coming season! Now i just have to get my scout trained :D

Matt, your dogs are with Pete for a hunting tune up or are you thinking about competing with them also? mm on this forum just dropped off his pup with Pete this month too....she's Chloe's full sister from a repeat breeding. Can't wait to get updates on her!

Hey Karen,

My dogs are with Pete for a hunt tune up. I don't have the time right now to get them ready for the season. I had them in AKC Hunt Tests this past spring and will continue with them. No trials for me.

My trainer would disagree :D He's been BEGGING me to clip Blaze down for MONTHS! I keep thinking I might want to show him again someday, so I haven't, but I still may.....
