Shameless plug....

Post by gar-dog » Tue Jun 16, 2009 12:16 pm

There is new book out with outdoor essays and stories - mostly dog-related - and I happened to author one of the stories. It just came out about a month ago and I am curious if anyone has actually seen it or heard of it. It is very nicely illustrated by an artist named Bob White. Anyway, you can check it out on the below links.
Cheers,
Gary

Looks like it is definitely worth reading......just ordered one. Also if you find that intriguing, try PM'ing SNOOK, as his book Called "Dad,Dog, and Fish" is absolutely a must read! I'am sure he will help you get a copy of one, if he doesn't have any to sell to you.

Hey Gary, I will definitely have to get a copy. I also enjoyed SNOOK's book Dog, Dad, and Fish.

FYI I got to the Field Dog Expo at the Setter Club and it started to downpour, waited it out for about 30 minutes but it didn't let up. The dogs were so amped up. It's like driving a kid to Disney World and turning around once you get there!

I tried to attend a polo match in Pittstown and it was a bust, started raining 15 minutes after we got there, match cancelled, so we moved the tailgating portion to my house and I ate and drank too much! It rained on my way into work yesterday, started as I walked out the door to begin the commute, then started friggin pouring the minute I left my office to head to the subway to the train station. The Setter Club annual meeting and family picnic is Saturday. i plan on heading down with the wife and kids, and eating and drinking too much. I hope they open the trap machine - before the kegs - I haven't busted any clays in way too long. This rain blows.

Great. Look for me - I will probably be there with the entire family - so a reddish/blondish-haired wife, two tall teenage boys, and a 6 year old blond cute daughter. Silver SUV. I'll be the middle-aged guy with brown hair and a beer gut... oh, I guess that describes about half the guys there.

Gar-dog -

I'll be there in a blue over silver P/U. My wife and daughter-in-law will be there as will a big white dog and our newest pup, an orange and white.

Hope to see you there.
