Diomed, the life of a Setter

Post by gunner » Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:53 am

Here's a rare book about a setter written in 1899. The illustrations are beautiful and there's a chapter about John Martin Tracy, the outstanding dog artist of that period. Cover, binding, print and illustrations are from the original.

Reading format and print may have to be adjusted for your computer screen.

I read just a little and might read more.. just getting up to work with my pup this morning.

But the little I did read I would swear it read the same as a recent book I enjoyed.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

Perhaps this book was one of his inspirations? Makes me want to read more to find out.

Thanks for the link! I will let you know what I think of it later.
