Lantz -

Looks like you have a Navhda contact right there in Utah on the Nahvda website.

Have fun with it.

The UT and Invitational Test pull the dog in different directions. Take your time. Have seen a lot of dogs with issues from too much pressure.

Hey Lantz,
You can also check the Navhda section on the UBD board.

There's a lot of people on there that run in the Wasatch Mountain Chapter.
You can also join the chapter and come out to the training days if you'd like.

Have you given Art Trujillo a call yet? He is the contact person for the NAVHDA chapter in Utah. He can tell you when they usually hold their tests and if they have an exact date picked out for this coming year. His phone number is 801-710-6362.

It would also be really beneficial to attend the training sessions. Most chapters hold training sessions monthly through the spring and summer months. Its great to go and get some free help from knowledgeable people. And the camaraderie is great too :-)

Greg, no worry, I won't push this dog at all. I have taken him hunting before and at 6 months he is honoring, pointing and holding point, retrieving, fine around the gun, and is really hunting and he did that on his own. Also, do you know if they use pigeons in the tests? If so, I don't think he will really give them a good point on a pigeon.

I will call that guy and do some more research and asking around.

Thanks!!

All the tests I've been to with the WM chapter have used Chukar.
