Re: Ricks Mt trip
Hey Thanks Brenda for posting the pics! I did indeed have a great time with Rick I sure wish you could have made it out. We found alot of birds while horseback, I kick myself for not getting into that sooner! I am pretty sure my days of walking while hunting sharptails are over. I really enjoyed watching Rick's Fritz dog and my Zip braced together it was really good for her. Boy I was so happy with what she showed me up there for her first year, I could not be more pleased. Did Rick tell you what the Gps tracker had said after the one day of hunting her horseback? She was on the ground for about a hour and 45 minutes we shot two limts of Sharptails over her and she pointed thirteen coveys and held everything thru wsf, the tracker said she covered 16 miles, now that is searching alot of ground and still finding birds and handling them like a pro! I told Rick it was a joy to hunt behind a broke dog for once! I think she needs to come and visit Amos when the time is right! I am so stoked over her I may just get on a plane with her and go back for a few more days to do it again! I will post some pics as soon as I get them downloaded. I enjoyed it Rick!
