Jedi is home!
Jedi is home!
Introducing my new GSP pup. He is 8 weeks old today, and has only been home for a couple of hours. I also put a picture of my Golden Retriever so he won't feel left out.

He took me out today and showed me how "Heff" works (Jedi's Dad). That was an amazing display. Heff locked up on point from 30 yards away, and didn't move a muscle through flush, shot or fall until Matt went over and tapped him on the head.Dirtysteve wrote:Nice lookin pup. Matt sure breeds some nice dogs. I have a full brother to your pups father and he's a good one!
I like the steady to shot, but I think I will try and release with a verbal command so that you don't have to go over and tap to release.
I have high hopes for this one.
That is great! I picked Jedi because he uses mind control to talk the bird into not moving. The only problem with Anakin is that he turns into Vader (I promise I am not a Star Wars geek!). Maybe Obi Wan or Luke Skywalker.original mngsp wrote:Handsome lil fella.
How about Sliderock's Anakin Skywalker for a name?
Thanks for the help!
Great looking pup!! Congrats on the new addition,

If you want to you could always make it simple and call him Sliderock's Skywalker.
I like the full Sliderock's Anakin Skywalker as I think Anakin is a great character. I always have had a soft spot in my heart for troubled characters that waver between good and evil but eventually the good side prevails. Thats just me though.
It's your dog, settle on something that refelcts on both you and the dog well.

I am from Utah. I live in Farmington, near Lagoon. I would love some info on upcoming events. I never had anything in mind other than training and hunting, but after seeing Matt's dog "Heff" work, and reading this forum, I am beginning to come around. I am excited about this new dog, that is for sure.Dirtysteve wrote:Are you from Utah?
If so I hope you come out to test and trial your pup. We have several different trials and tests in Utah so you should find one that fits your style. If you want any info on any upcomming events please let me know. We would love to have you come out and join us.
