Jedi is home!

Post by kalel » Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:55 pm

Introducing my new GSP pup. He is 8 weeks old today, and has only been home for a couple of hours. I also put a picture of my Golden Retriever so he won't feel left out.

Jedi's pedigree is below.

He took me out today and showed me how "Heff" works (Jedi's Dad). That was an amazing display. Heff locked up on point from 30 yards away, and didn't move a muscle through flush, shot or fall until Matt went over and tapped him on the head.

I like the steady to shot, but I think I will try and release with a verbal command so that you don't have to go over and tap to release.

I have high hopes for this one.

That is great! I picked Jedi because he uses mind control to talk the bird into not moving. The only problem with Anakin is that he turns into Vader (I promise I am not a Star Wars geek!). Maybe Obi Wan or Luke Skywalker.

Thanks for the help!

But he turns back over to the light and kills the evil emperor!

If you want to you could always make it simple and call him Sliderock's Skywalker.

I like the full Sliderock's Anakin Skywalker as I think Anakin is a great character. I always have had a soft spot in my heart for troubled characters that waver between good and evil but eventually the good side prevails. Thats just me though.

It's your dog, settle on something that refelcts on both you and the dog well.

I am from Utah. I live in Farmington, near Lagoon. I would love some info on upcoming events. I never had anything in mind other than training and hunting, but after seeing Matt's dog "Heff" work, and reading this forum, I am beginning to come around. I am excited about this new dog, that is for sure.
