Here it is I just hope it works. I have been watching my quail to see who is the big mouth and have narrowed it down to a few

A bit pricey at $200.00, but consider an electronic caller, they work. For the last 10 - 15 years the pen birds I have been buying are too quiet.

Got a Total Recall on the flight pen here. Works great. I don't release the birds very far from the pen at all, but my return rate fluctuates from about 40% to 100% sometimes. Last week I did 100%, but in the past seven days it's been a little lower. I think it's great.

Im sure you know this but if your train in spring and summer months I have the permits to I have noticed either let all hens out or all males if you let both out most will not return as they will go looking for a mate and breeding! This is not always the case but found it out to be true a lot! Good Cage!!

Yes.

I have had the best results with just releasing hens in the Spring.

thanks for the info I have about 7 hens and only 1 cock bird left but have about 40 eggs in the incubator right now gonna try to pick up another 10 to 20 birds this weekend if the supplier still has any. I have 10 young homers in the loft but they have only been in there for a week it sure will be nice when I can start using them in about a month.

I have better return rates later in the summer and early fall. I have always felt that spring and early summer, they are thinking breeding and don;t come home at night...I remember those days only vaguely! :D

Last summer I had about 45 burds and they lasted me all the way through early fall. I was not shooting many obviously. But if you keep food and water with them, and keep a good calling bird or a total recall, it works great!
