Hypothetical question--you do an ai breeding and whelped a successful litter. Filled out the litter registration paperwork with the dam's info and the vets' info that performed the ai. Dam's owner mailed all that info off to the owner of the stud dog and straw for him to sign and mail off to the akc. Akc has no record of receiving this packet and the stud owner has fallen off the map.
Any chance the litter can be registered if no further contact can be made with the stud dogs owner?
Obviously, the vet that stored the straw and performed the ai had to get authorization from the straw owner to inciminate the female. Would a letter from him be enough to get the litter registered? What other course of action would the litter owner have?
