Well don't know if this belongs here or under "product reviews". But after todays weather around Dallas, got to buy a "weather radio" to notify us of emergancies. Anyone have recommendations ? Thanks

I prefer Midland, that is what I had last year when the storm hit, that is what I got again when I replaced it. There are several models just depends on what features you want/need.

Again, there are many FREE services for your CELL PHONE. It will give you alerts even at work or on the road. No need to buy anything.

Thanks everyone. Ordered two. A desktop and a small portable unit to keep in the car and take on hunting trips. Both made by Midland. Thanks coop for referring to me as a gentleman. Might get you classified as a bad judge of character :)
