picked up an old blank pistol
ok got an older blank pistol says sprint and made in italy on it. I know its a 22 cal but how do i find out what size blanks it can fit? the guy who sold it hasnt used it in several years and couldnt remember
Re: picked up an old blank pistol
Look at how it is made and what type of metal. I would bet it is for .22 crimps (acorn style )

Re: picked up an old blank pistol
Most the ones I see look like they will take shorts...Specially if it is the clip version and not the revolver type
if it is the revolver type look at the cylinder if there is any depth to it at all more then likely the short if it looks extremely shallow like the cylinder compared to a regular pistol looks like about 1/4th of the size then more then likely it is the crimp version of the 22

Re: picked up an old blank pistol
I have a .22 that would only take the crimp loads. I took a drill bit and drilled out the stop in all 8 cylinders. I can now shoot .22 shorts through it with no problem. You can pick up the .22 shorts (brown box) at your local lumber yard. They are sold for use in the concrete pin guns. 100 rounds will cost you less than $6.00/box and are readily available at any lumber yard or Home Depot etc.

Thanks I'll try that out.
