Dog Trailers

Post by prairiefirepointers » Wed Jun 22, 2011 4:10 pm

I am extremely interested in purchasing a dog trailer to have by the begining of our Upland Bird Season Opener in November. I have looked at a gazillion trailers (approx  ) and with the used one's, it seems if it's in good shape, then they want almost new price. If its a real good deal, then it needs some work.

So, I think I've settled with the idea of having a new trailer built. I contacted CREATIVE SPORTS SUPPLY and I love the looks of their "Super 6" dog trailer. (Loaded version, of course.) Its $6499

has anyone had one or knows of someone who has one? I am open to leads on other trailers as well. New or used, but If I'm buying used, it better be shiney and nice. :D

Also, Since I am new to "Trailer Shopping" What are the best trailers? Where to find them?

I have looked at Gundogcentral, and GDF, and a few other places.

** Forgot to add that It must have top storage, Fans, & onboard water.

Thanks In advance!

PM Drifter Saver here on this site. I know he now has a MTCK trailer he is selling, but I believe he also had a Creative.

If I could figure out how to configure it for 4 or 6 dogs, I'd like something like this:

While Randy's trailer is nice enough, I am looking for something a little nicer. I could build one in my brothers machine shop if I wanted. However, I don't have time or the interest in doing so. I have enough iron's in the fire.

I like the idea of having the water in the bed of the truck so that I don't have to lift the water if (when) I have to move the trailer by hand. You can make a dandy water tank with PVC pipe, caps and a spigot.
